The trend atlas has four layers corresponding to the four dimensions in the multidimensional platform:

- Emotional
- Spiritual
The Multidimensional Platform (Trends Filter)
The Scientific and Social dimensions typically consist of quantitative data and verifiable trends. This is insight into the harder values. The Emotional and Spiritual is more likely to consist of qualitative and observational data. These give us insights into softer values.
When using the multidimensional platform as a trends filter we get an overview of the Macro Trends that affect us both on a society level as well as on a personal level. By mapping out the trends you find essential for your company or organisation you can identify meaningful innovation opportunities and future growth area.
THE TREND ATLAS
The backbone of our trends management methodology is the Trend Mapping system indicating the most relevant macro trends that will affect us mid to long term. Current trends evolve and take on new meaning according to advancements in technology and new insight into environmental issues. Political and socio-economic development in society affects people’s lifestyle, behaviour and needs. Together these developments will feed into, reflect and form people’s value sets. We use our insights from trend mapping to create Future Scenarios.

The trend atlas kick-starts the product innovation process, providing a visual framework of key trends gathered via the Multidimensional Platform. The trend atlas is a tool for decoding the broader cultural context of society trends. It should be seen as a facilitator, used to interpret and communicate trends visually in a clear and inspirational way.
